Turmeric honey golden milk

Turmeric honey golden milk

I left the pan on the burner once. Night, one cup of milk in a small saucepan. Steam showed at the edges. I still didn’t kill the heat. I found it later, a brown skin stuck to the bottom, and I had to fill the pan with water and leave it in the sink overnight. Soaking is not part of the recipe. Now I heat that same cup until steam lifts at the rim, take it off, and stay at the stove.

Then I whisk in turmeric honey and a pinch of cinnamon. The milk turns yellow. I pour it into a mug and wash the pan while it is still warm.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons Infused Honey — Turmeric
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon

Putting it together

  1. Pour the milk into a small saucepan.
  2. Warm it over medium-low until it steams at the edges. Do not let it boil.
  3. Take the pan off the heat.
  4. Add the turmeric honey and the cinnamon. Whisk until the honey is gone and the milk looks even and gold.
  5. Pour into a mug.

Tips

If the honey goes in while the milk is still on the burner, it sticks. Off the heat. A fork works if you don’t want to wash a whisk.
